"Breading" Recipe ****

This was good, although I'm really not a huge fan of pork panko.  Still, it did the job.  I used it on baked cod.

2 oz pork panko
1/2 cup egg white powder
1 Tablespoon gelatin powder

Egg Fast Lemon Bars *****

I made both of these recipes.  Both were good.  I liked the sweetness level of the second recipe better, so I changed the first recipe from 3 Tbsp sweetener (54 drops monk fruit) to 4 Tbsp (72 drops monk fruit).

  • 6 eggs
  • 3 oz cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp homemade mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp lemon extract
  • 72 drops 100% monk fruit (equivalent to 4 Tbsp sweetener)
  • Real of Pink Himalayan salt to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Put all ingredients into a large blender
  3. Blend until frothy
  4. Line a square glass baking pan (or a small rectangular pan) with parchment.
  5. Pour mixture into pan
  6. Bake for 30 minutes
  7. Cool and cut into 12 equal portions

6 eggs
2 oz cream cheese
4 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp homemade mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon extract
1 tsp vanilla extract
Real or Pink Himalayan salt

Baked Panela Cheese ****

I added a little bit of salt the first time I made this, but it was too salty.  The next time, I didn't add any salt, but it was still too salty for me.

  • 1 package Panela Cheese
  • Olive Oil
  • Oregano
  • Garlic Powder

  1. Place panela cheese in a cast iron or clay baking dish
  2. Sprinkle cheese with olive oil
  3. Sprinkle oregano and garlic powder on cheese
  4. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, until hot and lightly browned
  5. Serve warm

Oven-Baked Bacon *****

  • 8 bacon slices

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil topped with parchment paper, then place the bacon side-by-side on the sheet.
  • Cook bacon for 10 to 20 minutes or until it's reached desired level of crispiness. Begin checking on it after about 10 minutes. Remove baking sheet from oven and transfer bacon with tongs to drain on paper towels.
  • If you're rendering the bacon fat, line a fine mesh sieve with a paper towel. Then place the sieve over a glass storage container and pour the bacon fat from the sheet tray into the sieve. Cover the glass storage container and place it in the refrigerator for future cooking needs.

Notes

  • Please note that all ovens cook slightly differently. It's best to keep an eye on the bacon past the 10-minute mark so you can ensure it's cooked to your personal preference. If you scroll through the comments you'll see some people have raw bacon at 15 minutes and some have burnt bacon at 15 minutes. After years of comments on this recipe, I've widened the cooking time to 10 to 20 minutes, as all ovens do bake differently.

Poached Eggs in Beef Broth

Bring beef broth to a boil in a large pot.  (you can use any broth)

Crack as many eggs as you'd like and add to a bowl.  Drop eggs in the broth and cook on high for exactly 4 minutes and 30 seconds to get perfect gooey yolks.

Serve and enjoy with the beef broth!

Bella's Bone Broth *****

It’s an Asian tradition to drink/eat as much collagen as possible for glowy skin, strong hair and nails ✨this is the easiest recipe ever for jiggly collagen rich bone broth that’s also great for gut health!

Ingredients: pasture raised chicken wings, filtered water, 2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar, 2 tsp Himalayan Pink Salt or RealSalt.

I use an instant pot for easy cooking and clean up but you can also cook stove top or with your pressure cooker

- I simply place 2 pounds of chicken wings into the instant post and pour in just enough water so it just barely covers the meat, then add ACV and salt.

- I pressure cook on HIGH for 2 hours and let the pressure naturally release

- If you want the pure bone broth without the meat, you can pour it through a strainer, but I love drinking the hot soup with little bits of the fatty tender chicken meat.

- I do meat and bone for my broth because it adds SO much more flavor to the broth and choose chicken wing bones ensure that the bones are soft and edible too 😉

❤️ Besides incorporating this collagen rich broth regularly, I also highly recommend eating more animal foods and fatty meat! You don’t have to go carnivore fully, but the more meat you eat, the more your skin and gut will thank you!
